A piece for flute/contrabass flute, alto saxophone and piano, inspired by Herbie Hancocks funk music of the seventies, written in 2006. Apart from flute also the contrabass flute is used, both played by Ned McGowan. The other musicians on the recording are: Ere Lievonen on piano, and Naomi Sato on alto saxophone. The piece was commissioned by the Performing Arts Fund NL. |
